Overview
iXtract downdraught benches with extraction arms have an integrated air filtration solution, they are designed to provide superior operator protection during processes that generate dust, fumes, vapours and smoke.
This dual-extraction system combines a perforated work surface that pulls contaminants downward with a flexible articulated extraction arm that captures airborne particles directly at the source.
A downdraught bench with a fume extraction arm is a powerhouse combo for air quality control. You get surface-level suction (from the bench) and point-source capture (from the arm).
Ideal for woodworking, metalworking, dust-heavy fabrication tasks at welding stations.
Operation
These benches operate on the principle of downdraught ventilation, where air is drawn downwards through the work surface, carrying with it any particulates, fumes, or dust generated during the work process.
The perforated grates on the surface of the downdraught bench allow the air to flow through and effectively capture the contaminants.
The fume extraction arm captures airborne contaminants closer to the source before they spread.
The dust and fumes are then safely filtered through the cartridge filter and clean air is discharged through the ducting outlet.
