Overview
What is a Spring Hose Reel
Spring recoiled hose reels are designed to remove exhaust gases and fumes from workshops and garages. They also eliminate the tripping hazard of hoses being left across workshop floors and walkways.
The hose reels can be mounted in two positions: from an overhead support structure or from a side support structure, although ceiling mounted is the most common, wall mounting is also available when space is limited. The reels come fully assembled and ready for installation.
Can be connected to a central extract system or each reel can be equipped with its own fan. Reels are available in standard widths of 650mm, 850mm and 1250mm in order to accept different hose diameters or lengths.
Operation
How does a Spring Hose Reel Work
iXtract hose reels can be specified with various types of exhaust hoses. The hose is wound on to the drum which is usually located above the work area, typically in the roof space.
To release the desired length of hose from our spring-powered models, simply pull the hose from the spring reel drum to the required length and engage the ratchet, which locks the hose in the desired position.
When the hose is no longer required, simply pull to release from ratchet and aid the hose back up on to the reel drum.
